Cate Morrill is a Certified Wudang T'ai Chi and Qi Gong Instructor, and completed Blueberry Hill Qi Healing 1-2.  She consults with clients regularly from the basis of these disciplines, and uses her twenty-plus years of T'ai Chi experience, extensive individual studies of movement theory and application and more, to assist in the enhancement of the health and well-being of her clients. Though Cate is not a physical or occupational therapist, she often works closely with practitioners in these fields to assist their clients, and finds that this work is generally a valuable accompaniment to these and other medically based disciplines, as is noted by the referrals received from the medical community. Recommended for individuals who :
  • Would like a personal plan for their health
  • Have a desire to heal from specific illness or injury, or other limiting situation
  • Wish to create or boost internal energy
  • Wish to remove tense energy from the body
  • Wish greater balance in mind, body and/or spirit
  • Need physical rehabilitation from an illness or injury or wish to learn management techniques for specific physical issues
  • Are ready for solutions that are complimentary to other treatments
  • Are dealing with serious issues such as recovery from a stroke, or living with certain neurological disorders, Parkinson’s Disease, multiple sclerosis, need healing regarding pre- or post- joint replacement surgery, or other issues
  • Personal evaluation is for anyone who wishes to look at their status quo and create a plan for greater health and wellness.
  • Qi Balancing is based on the Ancient Five Element Energy theory and seeks to adjust the energy in the internal organs and along the corresponding meridians to help create health,  harmony and support internally, and assist in the development of the essential life force.
  • "Qi Massage" uses the above techniques with gentle massage of the major muscle groups, with emphasis on the meridian paths.
  • Physical healing with T'ai chi and Qi Gong is based on the above principles as well as the physical aspect of each movement, and the motions, muscles, and physical processes involved, as well as the mind connection. This is T'ai Chi used for physical issues such as balance improvement, strength development, stroke or injury recovery, joint replacement pre-strengthening or rehabilitation, arthritis management, and more.

Appointments in specific issue evaluation may lead to suggestions of specific T'ai Chi and or Qi Gong work, for purposes similar to those desired through physical therapy and such, or may lead to recommendations for Qi Balancing, Qi Massage or External Qi Healing, for both internal and external benefit. Often, the client is referred by a physician, physical or occupational therapist or other medical professional for assessment and an applicable treatment plan which is  of a complimentary nature to therapies already in progress. Just as often, a client requests the consultation individually.
